National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme for Minority StudentsThis scholarship is awarded to students who have gained
admission to technical and professional courses, by way of competitive
examination or have secured more than 50% marks at higher secondary/ graduation
level, and whose annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources
does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs. 30% of the total allocation of scholarships
is reserved for girls. Course fees for eligible institutions (as notified
by the Ministry of Minority Affairs) are paid in full. For other institutions,
course fees up to Rs 20,000 per annum are paid along with a maintenance

visit the Ministry of Minority Affairs: National Scholarships for People with Disabilities This scholarship is awarded to students with at least
40% disabilities (as per definition under Persons with Disabilities Act
1995) and whose annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources
does not exceed Rs 1.8 lakhs. The scholarship covers maintenance allowance
and provides reimbursement up to Rs 10,000 per year towards the course
fee. Scholarship is tenable for study in any recognized institution from
Std XI to PhD (including technical/ vocational training courses). For

of Social Justice website: http://socialjustice.nic.in/scholarships.html Post-matric Scholarships for MinoritiesThis scholarship is awarded to students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination and annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs. The minority communities eligible for this scholarship are Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis). 30% of the total allocation is reserved for girls and continuance of the scholarship is contingent on students gaining more than 50% marks in the previous year’s examination. The scholarship is provided from Std XI through to PhD (including technical/ vocational training courses) in any government or recognized private school. The tuition fees will be credited to the student’s institution and the maintenance fee to the student’s bank account. The scholarship covers all non-refundable tuition and compulsory fees payable to the institution as well as a maintenance allowance. Scholarship is tenable only for studies from Std XI through to Postgraduate courses in institutions recognized by the State or Union Territory Government. parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs 1 lakh. The scholarship

as well as a maintenance allowance. Scholarship is tenable for study of
any government recognized course from Std XI to PhD (including technical/

The scholarship is for undergraduate studies in one hundred and twenty five institutions of excellence (as notified by the Ministry of Social Justice), including all IIMs, IITs, NITs as well as reputed medicine, law and pilot training institutes. The scholarship tuition fees (up to Rs 2 lakhs per annum for private colleges) and includes a maintenance allowance of nearly Rs 75,000 per annum (including expenses for computer, books,e tc). After satisfactory progress in the first two years of a Ph D course, the candidate will be eligible for an increased allowance.
