Pre-matric Scholarships for MinoritiesThis scholarship is awarded to students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination (criteria is waived for Std 1 applicants) and annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1 lakh. The minority communities eligible for this scholarship are Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis). 30% of the total allocation is reserved for girls and continuance of the scholarship is contingent on students gaining more than 50% marks in the previous year’s examination. The scholarship is provided till the student completes Std X in any government or recognized private school. The tuition fees will be credited to the student’s institution and the maintenance fee to the student’s bank account. Scholarship is tenable only for study in institutions recognized by the State or Union Territory Government is provided till the student completes Std X. There is provision within this scheme for an ad hoc grant of Rs 500 to all eligible scholars. Scholarship is tenable only for study in institutions recognized by the State or Union Territory Government is provided till the student completes Std X. There is provision within this scheme for an ad hoc grant of Rs 550 (dayscholars) and Rs 600 (hostelers) to all eligible scholars. Scholarship is tenable only for study in government, government-aided or local body schools and is provided from Std IX to Std XII. Continuance of the scholarship is contingent on students gaining more than 55% marks in the previous year. All students completing Std VIII from recognized schools are eligible to apply. The Scholarship is provided from Std IX up to graduation or PhD studies. 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group. Continuance of the scholarship is contingent on students gaining more than 55% marks in the previous year.
